1008 – Reads stories and literary texts-both fiction and non-fiction with understanding for pleasure and enjoyment and discusses about these.

4. MOTIVATIONAL QUESTIONS
/ WARM-UP

  The teacher asks few Questions to motivate the students towards the topic:

1. Which is the most important human quality?

2. How should be a person according to you?

3. How should a person not behave with you?

5. INTRODUCTION

After getting different answers from the students, the teacher introduces the topic: “The Attic” by Sathyajit Ray.

CONTENT DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES:

The teacher introduces the lesson “The Attic”. She shows the picture of Attic to the students and explains about the author of the lesson: Satyajit Ray.

She then explains the characters of the story and explains the story along with ppt.

  • Ø The narrator and Aditya went their native.
  • Ø They went to Nagen uncle’s tea shop.
  • Ø There they met Sanyal.
  • Ø He recited a poem of Tagore.
  • Ø Sanyal was a classmate of Aditya.
  • Ø Aditya went to his old house.
  • Ø He took an article from the Attic.
  • Ø Aditya gave 150 rupees to Sanyal.
  • Ø But Sanyal did not accept it.
  • Ø He wanted his medal
  • Ø So Aditya gave him the medal after 29 years.
  • Ø On the medal was engraved “ Sriman Sasanka   Sanyal – special prize for Recitation – 1948.” 
  • Ø Aditya rectified his mistake.
  • Ø He repented to Sanyal.
  • Ø This story depicts a child's psychology .

 11. REMEDIAL MEASURE

Teacher identifies the late bloomers through the evaluation. She shows the mindmap on the screen and makes sure that they understand the plot and how to value human emotions and self-respect.

 12. RECAPITULATION:

The teacher revises the lesson, highlighting the main idea of the lesson.

 13. WRITING:

Write the answers for the questions given in the text book.

 14. FOLLOW UP/HOME WORK:

Learn Compound word, Prefix-suffix and Article, answer the book back questions.
